Sustainability has emerged as a driving force in global culture as nations strive to achieve net-zero economy goals. Many industries have looked at AM as a way to promote these aims due to its digital workflows, warehousing capabilities, and potential to assist manufacturing in their own countries.
In 2022, AM is increasingly dominant as a significant route to attaining sustainability due to the new opportunities it presents for organizations across the design and manufacturing process and the advances that enable it to replace more conventional production techniques.
Market consolidation and interoperability
Currently, AM is a thriving industry with a multitude of machine alternatives available to businesses. Manufacturers will achieve interoperability much easier by adopting standards that reduce the feeling of being 'locked in' to a specific vendor.
